GENERAL DISCLOSURE AND INFORMATION NOTICE

REGARDING THE PROTECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

As Tron Elektronik Sistemler San. ve Tic. A.Ş. (hereinafter referred to as “Tron”), we exercise all reasonable care and diligence to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal data that we collect and process.

This Personal Data Processing Disclosure Statement, prepared by Tron acting in its capacity as the Data Controller, has been drafted in order to inform you about the personal data processed for the purposes of carrying out the Company’s activities, in accordance with Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“the Law”).

Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data may be processed by Tron Elektronik Sistemler San. ve Tic. A.Ş. for the following purposes, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of Law No. 6698:

  • Enabling our customers to benefit from sales and after-sales services,
  • Carrying out the necessary activities to sustain Tron’s commercial operations,
  • Developing Tron’s reputation and business relationships,
  • Determining and implementing corporate strategies,
  • Managing marketing activities,
  • Ensuring legal and physical security,
  • Conducting human resources processes,
  • and fulfilling other operational and administrative requirements necessary for the Company’s business activities.

 

Methods of Collecting Personal Data and Legal Grounds

Your personal data may be collected by Tron in physical or electronic environments, primarily based on your declarations and within the scope of the relationship established between you and Tron.

Within this context, personal data may be collected through the following channels:

  • Websites
  • Card access systems
  • CCTV systems
  • SMS communications
  • Electronic mail
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies
  • Fax
  • Mail, cargo, or courier services
  • Databases of various institutions and organizations where permitted by applicable legislation and contractual arrangements

Such personal data is collected within the limits permitted by the applicable legislation and contractual relationships, and where legally required, with your explicit consent.

The personal data collected through these methods are processed within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of Law No. 6698.

 

Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties

Your personal data may be transferred, in line with the purposes stated above and in accordance with the personal data transfer provisions of Article 8 of the Law and the provisions governing cross-border data transfers under Article 9, to the following parties:

  • Authorized public institutions and organizations
  • Tron’s direct or indirect domestic and international subsidiaries and parent companies
  • Tron’s service and support providers
  • Business partners, consultants, and suppliers
  • Legally authorized public bodies
  • Private persons or judicial authorities where required by law

 

Retention Period of Personal Data

Your personal data will be processed for the period required by the purposes of processing specified in this document.

Following the expiration of such periods, if any legislation or legal obligation requires the data to be retained for a longer period, the personal data will continue to be processed in accordance with such legal requirements.

Upon the expiration of all relevant retention periods, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized without delay.

 

Security Measures for Personal Data

Tron implements all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security in order to:

  • prevent the unlawful processing of personal data,
  • prevent unauthorized access to personal data, and
  • ensure the secure storage and protection of personal data.

 

Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

Pursuant to Article 11 of Law No. 6698, you have the following rights as a data subject:

  • To learn whether your personal data is being processed,
  • To request information if your personal data has been processed,
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with its purpose,
  • To know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
  • To request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
  • To request deletion or destruction of personal data,
  • To request that correction, deletion, or destruction operations be notified to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • To object to a result that arises against you through the analysis of processed data exclusively by automated systems,
  • To request compensation for damages in case you suffer harm due to unlawful processing of personal data.

 

Application Procedure

As Tron, we take all necessary administrative and technical measures in accordance with the legislation to ensure that you can effectively exercise the rights granted to you under the Law.

You may submit your requests by completing the Application Form available on our website www.tron.com.tr and sending it to Tron through one of the following methods:

  • It may be sent via registered mail with return receipt or through a notary public to the following address:

Tron A.Ş. will finalize the requests submitted in writing or through other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board as soon as possible and within thirty (30) days at the latest from the date of receipt. Applications may be subject to a fee in accordance with the tariff determined by the Board.

 

Identity Verification

In order to respond to your applications, Tron A.Ş. may request additional information and documents to verify your identity and clarify your request.

Failure to provide the requested information and documents may result in the inability to process your application.
